Sable
The mighty Sable inhabits wooded savannah in East Africa, you can also find the Sable in Southern Africa. The Sable population in Zimbabwe has drastically fallen from 24,000 in 1994 to only 450 today. The Sable antelope live in woodlands and grasslands. They form a herd of 10 to 30 females and calves led by a single bull.
Both male and female Sable's have horns. The horns grow outward and arch backward. The female's horns will reach anywhere between 24 to 40 inches in length and the males will reach anywhere from 32 to 65 inches long!
